BNI (Business Network International) is a business networking organization which claims to be the world’s largest and most successful referral organization. Founded in the U.S. in 1985, it is now in over 40 countries throughout the world.
The Dun Laoghaire group, called the Forty Foot, meets every Thursday morning at 6.45am in the Harbour View for its structured breakfast meeting at which the members pass business referrals to each other.
This group is one of the oldest and most dynamic chapters of BNI in Dublin. It has a mix of established and new members, giving the network a real dynamic energy and a great sense of humour.
BNI members are men or women who are mainly small business owners – either sole traders or employers – and are representative of many of the trades or professions. They come from all walks of life – from all types of backgrounds – from Dublin; the rest of Ireland and from overseas. There are no elites.
BNI allows one person from each business or profession to join a group. This ensures that each member owns that specific category i.e. that no competitor from that sector can join the BNI group.
Its method of operation – “Word of mouth” marketing – is a very cost-effective form of advertising. BNI provides a professional structured environment for the development and exchange of quality business referrals.
Visitors are always welcome. If you wish to visit, check out their website http://bni-dunlaoghaire.com or call one of the members.
